Jefferson City’s Industrial Development Board moved forward Thursday on what has been deemed the “Jefferson City Industrial Complex,” a 69-acre tract anchored between Chuckey Pike and Odyssey Road. It will be purchased from Jefferson Court, LLC for $1,425,000 with a loan facilitated by Appalachian Electric Cooperative.

City Attorney Mike Kerr walked board members though the resolution pertaining to the property, quoting the document’s assertion that “the property is in the best interest of the city and its citizens and that it will promote trade and commerce and increase employment opportunities.”
