Sessions Judge Will Roach delayed a bail hearing Tuesday in order to appoint a defense attorney for a Jefferson City man charged with three counts of first degree murder.

William David Phillips, 33, of 2620 North Highway 92, is accused of killing a 30-year-old woman, her unborn child, and her two-year-old son by striking them with his car in downtown Jefferson City June 17. He is also charged with attempted first degree murder for injuring a 61-year-old pedestrian seconds before the murders.
