Professor Drew Stewart expected his return to Jefferson City for the 100th anniversary of Carson-Newman University’s Forensics program would be coming home to what he knew about.

The assistant coach for Marian University’s program made the trip with gratitude for what he had learned at Carson-Newman, for lifelong friendships, for getting his start as a coach and especially for meeting Whitney Tipton, who he married seven years ago. He celebrated those things, as well as the firsthand experience of iron sharpening iron in the classroom and through organized argumentation.
