Armed with a padlock order and grand jury indictments, investigators closed down a suspected “drug house” in the middle of a quiet residential neighborhood early Tuesday morning, Sheriff Jeff Coffey said.

Three people were arrested on drug-peddling charges, and a fourth was charged with public intoxication following a disturbance on the lawn just before the department’s special operations team arrived. The sheriff’s department took possession of the 1,500 square-foot brick home as the result of an order signed by Circuit Judge Duane Slone Monday morning.
