Dandridge Council will take a final vote Tuesday on casting aside its population limit on the number of beer permits.

The group voted on first reading last month to do away with the section of the ordinance that limits on- and off-premises permits to a dozen each — but they left in place an existing ban on beer sales at billiard halls. Also receiving no action so far has been a restauranteur’s request for reconsideration of the distance requirements between permit-holding businesses and local churches and schools.
