Jefferson County’s Health Council is working on ways to better understand community psychological health by extending an invitation to local counselors and other professionals.

The group met August 20 following a summer hiatus. Members selected mental health as a focus for upcoming meetings and hope local psychological and psychiatric counselors will make themselves available to speak to their group and provide helpful information related to the community’s mental health.
