Countless well-wishers showed up last Thursday to offer their appreciation and best wishes to Glenda Jones, White Pine’s longtime library director. Jones is retiring after serving in the community’s learning center for more than 23 years – the last six as its director.

The local chapter of Friends of the Library provided refreshments and County Mayor Mark Potts showed up to read a proclamation naming June 27th “Glenda Jones” Day.
