Local property will soon be protected by over $1 million in new front line fire engines.

Two local fire departments — Jefferson City and Dandridge — are making plans to put new trucks in service during the coming months. The Jefferson City Fire Department is adding a $650,000 pumper currently under construction by Pierce, and Dandridge Volunteer Fire Department is expecting delivery this month from the same maker of a new $400,000 front line engine.
