Nyrstar’s Mine Safety Team

Nyrstar’s Mine Safety Team was recently awarded first place in an emergency rescue simulation in Louisiana. “We work in an underground environment and it is imperative that the mine rescue team performs on a high level to protect the safety and well-being of our fellow miners in an emergency situation,” said Nyrstar’s Mine Safety Coordinator Brian Millington.

His team recently competed an intense simulation of a mine rescue in Louisiana. Team members matched their abilities against 20 squads from other states, winning first place in the week-long exercise.
