Peewee Pickers

Practicing as part of Peewee Pickers in White Pine are three Branham girls who earned their guitars Tuesday, after eight lessons.  Left to right are Jessie, Sydney and Dixie Branham. Their teacher is guitarist Ralph Alexander. – KIMARY CLELLAND | THE STANDARD BANNER

Children who join Peewee Pickers can earn a free instrument after only eight weeks of taking free lessons from dedicated volunteer musicians.

July 10 was a special time of celebration for the Branham family, as all five children took home their instruments. Caleb and Timothy earned banjos, while their three sisters – Jessie Sydney, and Dixie – earned guitars. The Branhams have been receiving free lessons at the White Pine Community Center every Tuesday night.
