Staff Sergeant Matthew Adams, a member of the 572nd Air Force Band of the South, delivers a stirring rendition of “God Bless the U.S.A.” during halftime of Carson-Newman’s football game with Tusculum Saturday afternoon. Adams’ performance was part of Veterans Day emphasis at the game, that included a Blackhawk helicopter and representatives of the Armed Forces on the practice field prior to the game, delivery of the game ball by retired U.S. Navy SEALs Caleb Jones and Dustin Brooks, and recognition of ROTC cadets who have received scholarships at C-N. – DALE GENTRY | THE STANDARD BANNER
