Soon the days will begin to grow shorter and cool evenings will be a good time for reminiscing and remembering the proud heritage that brought our Scots-Irish forefathers to the untamed woodland of East Tennessee.

According to the Tennessee census bureau, one in five Tennesseans traces his or her roots directly to the Scots-Irish settlers of the 18th Century. We celebrate this bold heritage on the grassy banks of Loch Douglas in Dandridge on Saturday, September 28, at the 13th Annual Scots-Irish Festival.
