County Commissioners approved an expanded pet care and tether resolution last month that was first proposed by a group of high school students.

Concerned about the conditions under which they have seen some local dogs Service Learning class appeared three times before Commission and its committees. They proposed a resolution which was modified several times — and expanded to include cats — before final passage September 16 after motions from Commissioners Heidi Thomas and Jimmy Carmichael.
