Walker honored

White Pine Council managed to surprise retired White Pine School Principal Bill Walker with a Certificate of Appreciation for all he contributes to the community. Council asked Walker to come to the July 2 regularly scheduled to talk about the Industrial Development Board, which required him to sit in the front row.  Meanwhile, his family members were quietly escorted into the back of the room to view the ceremony. White Pine council surprised retired White Pine School Principal Bill Walker with a Certificate of Appreciation for his numerous contributions to the city at the regular monthly meeting on July 2.

Walker’s family members were also included as part of the celebration when Mayor Glen Warren presented the certificate.
