A Newport woman faces reckless endangerment, DUI, and other charges after she allegedly drove the wrong way on a four-lane and veered at officers with her vehicle during a late night chase that involved five departments Tuesday.

Tasha Lynne Southerland, 36, of 115 Cove Road, allegedly tried to run from her mini-van after it became disabled in the Highway 11E median in Strawberry Plains, Deputy Brandon Bullins reported. Bullins and a Jefferson City officer both had to deploy tasers to stop her from resisting, his report states.
