Youth bass anglers Carson Devotie and Tanner McMahan — both of whom have local ties — fought through a thick morning fog to win last Saturday’s Tennessee BASS Trail tournament on Cherokee Lake.

Hauling in three largemouths weighing a total of 10.22 pounds, the pair were the best of 24 youth teams competing in the event. They also caught the largest fish of the tournament at 4.62 pounds.
