The road to the 2019 AAA Tennessee softball championship for Jefferson County High’s girls began over a year ago – with a 3-0 loss in the state sectional game to Knoxville Powell.

Stung by the feeling that they could have given more, the returning players decided they would outwork every other team, and take the step they couldn’t in 2018 by advancing to the state tournament this year.
