DANDRIDGE - Second-seeded Jefferson County High wasted no time advancing in the District 2-AAA volleyball tournament Monday, sweeping to a three-set win over Morristown East at the JCHS gym.

The Lady Patriots looked sharp as they beat the Lady ‘Canes in straight sets for the first time this season, 25-22, 25-22, 25-15. With the win, they moved into the winner’s bracket final to face top-seeded Morristown West yesterday afternoon. A win there would put them into today’s final, while a loss would drop them into the loser’s bracket final – also being played today.
