Jefferson County’s boys finished fourth and the girls ninth in the first big high school tournament of the season Monday and Tuesday at The Country Club in Morristown.

Competing against 16 other teams on Monday, the Patriots posted a combined 336 score – 29 strokes behind tournament winner Johnson City Science Hill. The Hilltoppers had three of its four players shoot in the 70’s, led by medalist Tarun Hoskere, who carded a one-under-par 71.
