KODAK - Jefferson County didn’t substitute nearly as much Tuesday afternoon at Smokies Park. The Pirates had a game to win if they wanted to stay in the East Tennessee High School Baseball League playoff hunt.

And with Monday’s 9-5 triumph over the previously undefeated Lumber Kings, JCHS took a major step in that direction.
