MURFREESBORO - Runner-up finishes by Jaycee Schroeder in both the shot put and discus highlighted a strong performance by the Jefferson County High girls track team in the State Track Meet Thursday at Middle Tennessee State’s Dean A. Hayes Stadium.

The Lady Patriots compiled 21 points to finish 10th in the team standings, completing a successful year despite the lack of any track facilities for practice on their campus. Construction on a new turf field and track at JCHS prevented them from practicing, or holding any home meets this spring.
