AO Home Repair Coordinator Charles Wilt talks with meal volunteers Dennis and Paula McKenzie

AO Home Repair Coordinator Charles Wilt talks with meal volunteers Dennis and Paula McKenzie, who are two of the more than 100 Holy Trinity members who help during each second week of July. Speaking on behalf of the scores of summer volunteers who serve faithfully, Wilt noted of the work during dinner, “It can be exhausting, but it’s never monotonous.” – MARK BROWN | THE STANDARD BANNER

Pat Duda was making a Walmart run two Sunday nights ago when she unexpectedly ran into some friends, most of whom she’s known for years.

The friends were counting on seeing Duda, just not at Walmart. They expected it would be early the next morning at Holy Trinity Catholic Church where one of Duda’s volunteer teams would serve them breakfast. In fact, spending time with their Holy Trinity partners is central to the trip their organization has made annually for 26 years.
