Watching an Irish Wolfhound lead his owner through the front doors of the Jefferson City Public Library, politely greeting visitors and circulation desk staff, is quite a sight.

“Everyone always lights up when they see Bertie come in, especially children,” said library assistant Emily Shade. “He is just so relaxed and calm.”
