County Commission will vote next week on a proposal to use up to $4 million in federal recovery funds to build a new office complex for the County Clerk, Election Commission, Office on Aging, and Veterans Services.

The plan, part of a budget amendment that sets out perameters for expenditure of $10.5 million in American Recovery Act funding, was unanimously recommended by Commission’s budget committee after motions from Commissioners Jim Snodgrass and Tim Seals. It’s on Commission’s quarterly agenda next Tuesday (6:30 p.m., historic courthouse).
