On Monday, his first day as President of the Jefferson County of Commerce, Michael Cole was officially introduced to Jefferson City Council during the body’s August meeting.

An Arkansas native with connections to East Tennessee via his years at Lee University and employment, Cole said he has extensive service in United Way, including posts in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Springville, Missouri, as well as Tennessee UWs in Cleveland and Rutherford County. His most recent position was in Murfreesboro as Vice President of Business Operations and Financial Aid at Tennessee College of Applied Technology.
