A Mountain View Academy youth inmate will face charges for a recent escape, as well as a November assault on a deputy who was responding to a disturbance call at the facility, Dandridge Police Chief Carson Williams said.

Officers used a tracking dog and then an aerial drone with thermal imaging capabilities to close in on the youth early Christmas morning, after he scaled a fence and fled into freezing, snowy conditions, Sheriff Jeff Coffey reported.
