Murals decorate Alleyway Caffe

A unique new coffee and lunch spot — tucked away in an alley — opened Tuesday at 147 East Main Street in Dandridge. Alleyway Caffe is next to Tracee’s Lakeside Treasures. Both are owned and operated by Tracee Lee Geisler-Fitzpatrick (above, with one of the gifts available at her store). The shop, which was serving chicken pot pie soup Tuesday, features colorful murals created by Geisler-Fitzpatrick’s friend Deborah Wengert. Coffee is from local roaster Snowbird Mountain Coffee Company of Hartford. Geisler-Fitzpatrick said she fell in love with Dandridge during a college tour with her daughter and “became obsessed with getting here.” The Alleyway is open 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., with lunch from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. – STEVE MARION | THE STANDARD BANNER
