The biggest county budget roll-over in years could have an impact on the stalled proposal to improve or replace the aging Jefferson Elementary School.

Toward the end of a protracted budget committee meeting Tuesday night, two commissioners floated a plan that would offer a total of $14 million from debt service reserve, federal recovery funds, and a bond sale to School Board if it would chip in at least $3 million from its own reserve to cobble together a project that would renovate or replace Jefferson Elementary.
