Driver airlifted to UT Medical Center

Emergency personnel work at the scene of a one-vehicle crash in Chestnut Hill that injured a White Pine man Sunday afternoon. Trooper Toby Cameron of the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported that Deagan Hommel, 20, was airlifted to University of Tennessee Medical Center following the 4:47 p.m. crash on Highway 411. Hommel was headed north on the highway when the 2002 Toyota Tacoma he was driving left the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. He was wearing a safety belt at the time. – SUBMITTED

Bucket truck flips, contractor hurt

A cable worker was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center after an accident involving his bucket truck Saturday, deputies reported.
