Ribbon cutting held for White Pine Family Eye-care

A ribbon cutting and grand opening was held on Thursday, May 6 for the new White Pine Family Eye-care, owned by Dr. Kimberly Parks at 1903 Maple Street. Parks started her career in eye-care as a Navy Lieutenant after attending Optometry School in Memphis. After her military duty she worked in the Walmart Super Store in West Morristown before COVID-19 closed the practice. In the interim, she decided to open her own practice specializing in general check ups, emergency eye care, and long term care for eye diseases in White Pine where she resides. Pictured in the front row, from left, are Patty Mills, Sherrie Harris, Dr. Kimberly Parks, Alderwomen Carolyn Voiles, White Pine City Recorder Alyson Susong, and White Pine Mayor Fred Taylor. In back, from left, are David Longmire, Daryl Brady, Chelsea Morgan, Cindy Holt, and Walters State Community College President Dr. Tony Miksa. – STEVEN LLOYD | THE STANDARD BANNER
