Vietnam veterans present flags to Lakeway Academy

Lakeway Christian Academy in White Pine was presented flags from the Vietnam Vets of America on August 27. The flags will be displayed in classrooms, the two gyms, and the flag pole in the stadium. A special flag was also presented to the school to be flown only on POW/MIA Day. This recognition day is the third Friday in September. The flag program has been going on for two years and is run by the local Vietnam Vets of America. ABOVE: Receiving the flags (center) are Lakeway students Maddie Moyer, Faith Guillen, Daniel Hees, Colston Kapnick, and Jordaynia Ivie.
