KNOXVILLE — Jefferson County couldn’t match the firepower of one of the state’s top tier programs, as Gibbs claimed a 16-1 triumph over the Lady Patriots Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles outhit JCHS 13-1 for the game, with Stephanie Steele’s fourth-inning RBI double breaking up the no-hitter. Steele sent home Catelyn Riley to make it a 6-1 game, but JCHS (5-5, 5-0 District 2-AAA) couldn’t muster much else.
