SEVIERVILLE — Kade Parker gladly accepted the challenge of guarding one of the district’s best players.
Jonathan Zhao appeared poised for another monster game against Jefferson County, but Parker helped change that quickly. With Parker’s defense and a 3-point barrage in the second half, the No. 3 seed Patriots upset No. 2 Sevier County 62-56 in Friday’s District 2-AAA semifinal round at Lon C. Burchfield Gymnasium.
