Jefferson County football traditionalists got a treat with Saturday’s announcement — Rhea County is coming back to Dumplin Valley. The Golden Eagles were scheduled as a replacement for the Morristown East game, which was cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions in Hamblen County. The bonus for JCHS is that it’s an extra home game.

Much has changed since the programs last met in 2004. And that came more than a decade after former head coaches Craig Kisabeth and Bill Horton squared off for the final time.
