JOHNSON CITY - Jefferson County fought hard, but West Ridge’s outside hitters were the difference in a Region 1-AAA semifinal loss Monday night at Science Hill High.

The Wolves (28-9) prevailed in four close sets – 25-18, 16-25, 25-20, 25-21 – advancing to Tuesday’s regional finals against Science Hill (26-4), which dispatched Morristown East in straight sets in Monday’s regional opener.
